Paratransit Token/Two-Hour Pass users
How do the new Two-Hour Passes effect Paratransit?
If you pay your fare with tokens this news is for you! A Two-Hour Pass will replace the token and will work the same way.
How does a Two-Hour Pass work?
Two-Hour Passes will be accepted as fare on the van or bus starting December 4, 2006.
A Two-Hour Pass works just like a token. It allows you to purchase your fare in advance. The cost of a single Two-Hour Pass is 50¢, the same as a token.
When boarding the van or bus just give the pass to your driver.
How, when and where can I buy a Two-Hour Pass?
Just like tokens, you may purchase the Two-Hour Pass at The Bus Shop, Too at 1229 W. Boone Ave., (Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.) or at The Plaza customer service counter.
Plaza Hours:
Monday - Friday
6:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Saturday 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Closed Sunday & Holidays
I have tokens, what do I do?
You may exchange your tokens for Two-Hour Passes at The Plaza customer service counter or the Bus Shop, Too.
Tokens can be exchanged for Two-Hour Passes until December 1, 2007.
If you have more than 50 tokens to exchange, please call 456-7277 at least one day before you come in so we can process your exchange quickly.
Paratransit will continue to accept tokens for another few months.
Do I have to use a Two-Hour Pass?
You do not need a Two-Hour Pass. You can still just pay 50¢ when you board the van or bus.
You can also purchase a monthly pass. The current cost of a Reduced Fare monthly pass is $16.50. These can be purchased by mail, the Internet or in person at The Plaza customer service counter or at The Bus Shop, Too.
Free Ride Days
As a thank you for another great year - you can ride free December 1, 2 and 3.
You must schedule your ride like always; you just don’t have to pay on these days.
