PROJECT DESCRIPTION:  The project generally consists of improving ADA and pedestridan access, asphalt pavement, lighting and transit shelters as associated with a Transit Center utilized by STA on the SCC campus. 
 
PRE-BID WALK-THROUGH: 3:00 P.M., Wednesday June 26, 2013 at Spokane Community College (Owner), located at 1810 N. Greene St. in Spokane, WA. Meeting to be held on site in west parking lot off of Greene Street.  Prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend.

PUBLIC BID OPENING: 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 10 , 2013.  Deliver no later than 3:00pm to the reception desk located in the Spokane Transit Authority (Agency) Maintenance Facility on the south side of Boone Ave.  at 1229 W. Boone Avenue, Spokane, WA 99201.  Bid opening will follow in meeting room to be determined.

Use of DBE/MBE/WBE/MWBE contractors and suppliers is encouraged but not mandatory.  Contractors submitting bids may contact the Washington State Office of Minority and Women's Business Enterprise to obtain information on certified firms.The minimum prevailing wage provisions of Washington state law or Federal Davis Bacon, whichever is greater, as well as federal wage provisions apply to this project.

The Owner reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids and to waive minor informalities in the process. No contractor submitting may withdraw their bids after hour set for opening thereof unless contract award is delayed for a period exceeding ninety (90) days.

Six (6) sets (one original and five copies) of sealed proposals will be accepted until 4:00 p.m., local time, July 19, 2013, by the Spokane Transit Authority (STA), 1230 W. Boone Avenue, Spokane, Washington 99201, to provide STA with Medical Consultation for ADA Paratransit Eligibility Processing over a five-year period, effective October 1, 2013. Work shall be performed in accordance with the conditions stated in the Request for Proposals (RFP) package.

Request for Proposals may be obtained from Ms Laurie Hitchcock, Purchasing Department, electronically at lhitchcock@spokanetransit.com.  Proposals shall be submitted to Ms. Jacqueline Tjards, Purchasing Manager, at the above address and are to be marked:  “Proposal to Provide Medical Consultation for ADA Paratransit Eligibility Processing”.

TO PROVIDE THE LEASE OF TRANSIT VEHICLE TIRE MILEAGE

Sealed proposals, (original and five (5) copies), and one electronic version, will be received until 4:00 p.m., local time, Friday, July 26, 2013, by Spokane Transit Authority, 1230 West Boone Avenue, Spokane, Washington, 99201, to provide STA with the lease of transit vehicle tire mileage for the next five (5) years in accordance with complete specifications and contractual requirements included in the Request For Proposals (RFP) document.

Project Title: 
Exterior Facility Painting with Option to Paint Interior Skywalk

Project Description: 
The project consists of  prepping and painting the exterior walls, planters, skywalk, fueling area carport and metal doors (and frames) at the Spokane Transit Authority (STA) facilities located at 1229 and 1230 West Boone Avenue, Spokane, Washington.  An option to paint the interior superstructure of the skywalk is also included.  Complete specifications are provided in the Invitation for Bids document.

Pre-Bid Meeting
A pre-bid and site inspection meeting will be held at 2:00 p.m. local time, on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at the STA Maintenance facility located at 1229 W. Boone Avenue, Spokane, Washington.  All prospective bidders are encouraged to attend.

Bids Due:  
2:00 p.m. local time, Wednesday, June 25, 2013.  Bids are to be delivered to the reception desk located in the STA Maintenance Facility at 1229 W. Boone Ave, Spokane, WA 99201, prior to 2:00 p.m. deadline.  A public bid opening will follow in the Southside meeting room at the same address. 

Availability of Bid Documents:  Complete sets of Bid Documents are available from the office of the contact person, as listed above. 

This project constitutes a public works under state law and is subject to Washington State Department of Labor & Industries Prevailing Wages and Federal Davis Bacon Wages, whichever is greater, and all requirements associated with federal law, including weekly certified payrolls.
