Operations and Customer Service Committee


The Spokane Transit Operations and Customer Service Committee meets the first Wednesday of each month (except August) at 1:30 p.m. at the Southside Conference Rooms, 1229 West Boone Avenue, Spokane. All meetings are open to the public.

Duties of the Operations and Customer Service Committee

Approve:

  • Specifications for purchases exceeding $100,000

Review and recommend STA Board action on:

  • Scheduling and monitoring of fixed route transit, paratransit, and vanpool services
  • Land disposal
  • Equipment acquisition and disposal
  • Construction of facilities
  • Implementation, expansion, reduction, and/or alteration of routes and services (including annual service change review cycle)
  • Marketing strategy and promotion activities
  • How the ADA paratransit plan appeals process (for service denials) is working The committee will review decisions of the person or persons responsible for considering such appeals in accordance with STA's ADA paratransit plan
  • Establishment of rules and regulations for conducting the investigations provided for in the paratransit plan
  • Filling of vacancies on the committee
  • Other additional duties as assigned by the Board Chairperson
