Beginning January 1, 2012, Paratransit riders’ fares will increase to match the regular fare for fixed-route bus service.
- This is the third and final change in paratransit fares that were approved over three years ago.
- Fares do not cover the cost of service. Paratransit fares only pay for approximately 5 percent of the cost to provide door to door service.
- STA is working to sustain the level of service currently provided while keeping fares among the lowest in the state.
- Personal Care Attendants still ride for free.
- REMINDER: Fixed-route fare media are not accepted for paratransit service.
