New Year’s Holiday Service

Service will start two hours early from the posted Sunday/Holiday schedule on Monday, January 2, 2023, on most routes (routes 4, 6, 20, 21, 25, 33 & 90 will operate as posted as they already have early morning service).  These earlier routes will follow the posted intervals during that two-hour timeframe (if service is posted to start at 8:30 and run every 30 minutes, service will begin at 6:30, with stops at 7:00, 7:30, and 8:00).

Spokane Transit implemented this holiday schedule adjustment to make service more convenient for those commuters working on this federal holiday.

Two simple steps to catch the early buses on January 2, 2023:

  1. Under the “Routes” tab, locate the earliest Sunday/Holiday departure time listed in your route’s schedule.
  2. Subtract two hours from that time to determine your departure time. **Routes with 30-minute servicewill have four extra trips, and routes with hourly service will have two extra trips.

Example A: If the route is every 30 minutes and the printed departure time is 7:49 am, the bus will come at 5:49 am, 6:19 am, 6:49 am and 7:19 am before resuming regularly scheduled holiday service.

Example B: If the route is hourly and the printed departure time is 8:19 am, the bus will come at 6:19 am and 7:19 am before resuming regularly scheduled holiday service.

You can also text the 4-digit bus stop number to 99689 on the Observed New Year’s Day morning to receive a text back with the scheduled and real-time bus information.
