Safety During Extreme Weather
When the following extreme weather conditions are experienced, Spokane Transit offers fare exceptions to customers without fare payment who are traveling to and from support centers:
- Cooling Centers when the temperature reaches 95˚F or higher.
- Warming Centers when the temperature is 32˚F or lower.
- Safe Air Centers when the air quality index is at 201 or above.

- Warming Centers when the temperature is 32˚F or lower.

Accessing Support Centers
Simply board the bus and inform the coach operator that you are heading to a support center and do not have fare payment.
This practice remains in effect for same-day return trips during evening hours even after the temperature or air quality are no longer within the ranges given above.
