2022 Service Revisions
We need your help determining the best path for an east-west bus route in central Spokane north of the river.
Through public feedback on the Draft Recommendation for changes to bus routes that are planned to take place next year, we learned that there is a desire for an east-west bus route in central Spokane north of the river. We are holding a special virtual meeting to get help reviewing possible routings for this new connection.

STA is planning for changes that would take place in May of 2022. This includes STA’s first bus rapid transit line, City Line, and improving routes and frequency to Hillyard/Northeast Spokane. Changes to routes that connect to the City Line corridor and other route revisions to improve system performance are also proposed.
Earlier proposals were published in January and October of 2020, followed by online surveys and stakeholder discussions. The feedback from the previous surveys informed this Draft Recommendation.
Based on public input and additional analysis, STA will develop a Final Recommendation for service improvements. The STA Board of Directors will hold a public hearing on the draft recommendation at their regular meeting on April 15, 2021. STA will make a decision on the improvements in May 2021, and route changes will go into effect in 2022.
