SPS CONNECT
Reliable bus service for students
SPS Connect is a Spokane Public Schools (SPS) program supported by Spokane Transit to help get students to school. Cards are issued by SPS to qualifying students and are good for unlimited rides on STA while the student is enrolled in an SPS school or program.
Which Connect card is right for you?
SPS and STA both offer Connect cards that give students unlimited rides without needing to pay a fare.
SPS Connect card
- Unlimited rides on STA without fare
- Issued by Spokane Public Schools
- Available to eligible SPS high school students living outside the 1.5-mile radius walk boundary

STA Connect "Rider's License"
- Unlimited rides on STA without fare
- Issued by Spokane Transit
- Available to youth age 6-18

- Enter your Origin and Destination
- In settings, select "LEAVE AT" or "ARRIVE BY" and input the date and time of your trip

Tap your card to ride
- When you board the bus, place either side of your SPS Connect card flat against the card reader.
- When you your card has been validated, you'll hear a beep and see a green check mark.
Rules of Conduct
- No eating on the bus
- Use headphones if you are listening to anything
- Drinks are allowed, but must be in covered containers
- Stay behind the yellow line at the front of the bus
- Don’t distract the driver while the bus is in motion
