Zero Fare for Youth

Washington State transit agencies that implement zero-fare policies for youth, age 18 and under, by October 1 of this year, will receive state grants to help fund the programs. This offer is part of a $3 billion transportation package that the legislature approved in March and that will be dispersed over the next 16 years.

STA is exploring policy changes to allow more youth to ride with zero fare and wants to know about you and your household, and the impacts a zero-fare policy for those 18 and younger would have on you and your household.

Please view this presentation for more information.

The survey is now closed. More information on this program will be released soon.
